PausePath ("PausePath," "we," "our," or "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and what choices you have when using the PausePath mobile application and related services.
PausePath is designed to help users reduce unwanted scrolling, build healthier digital habits, and use social/accountability features in a more intentional way. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your data for third-party advertising or cross-app tracking.

We collect only the information needed to operate, protect, improve, and support PausePath.
1. Contact Information
We may collect:
- Name / Username: We collect the name, username, or profile name you provide when creating or using your PausePath account. This may be used to personalize your account, display your profile, and support social features such as friends, groups, comments, and challenges.
- Email Address: We collect your email address when you create an account, log in, receive authentication links, manage your account, or contact support.
2. User Content
PausePath includes features where you may create, submit, or share content inside the app. This may include:
- Instead posts
- Comments
- Group messages
- Challenge activity
- Profile information you choose to provide
- Other content you create or submit inside PausePath
This content is used to provide app functionality, including social features, groups, accountability features, activity history, and user-facing app experiences.
3. Identifiers
We may collect or generate a User ID associated with your account. This may include identifiers created by our authentication system, database, subscription system, or internal app systems. These identifiers help us securely connect your account to your profile, app data, subscription status, and saved settings.
4. Purchase History
If you subscribe to PausePath Premium or make an in-app purchase, purchase-related information may be processed through Apple's App Store, StoreKit, and RevenueCat. We may receive information such as:
- Subscription status
- Product purchased
- Renewal or expiration status
- Purchase history related to PausePath
We do not directly collect or store your payment card details. Payment information is processed by Apple through the App Store.
5. Crash Data
We may collect crash reports, error logs, and diagnostic data to help us identify bugs, improve app stability, and maintain a reliable experience. This may include technical information such as:
- Crash reports
- Error events
- Device and operating system details needed to diagnose technical issues
We use this information for app functionality, troubleshooting, and analytics related to app stability.
Screen Time and Family Controls Data
PausePath may use Apple's Screen Time, FamilyControls, DeviceActivity, and ManagedSettings frameworks to help you select apps, set protection rules, trigger interventions, and support your screen-time goals.
Apple's Screen Time and FamilyControls systems use privacy-preserving app and website tokens. PausePath uses these tools to provide app functionality such as app protection, interventions, and usage-based experiences.
We do not sell this data. We do not use it for third-party advertising or cross-app tracking.
App-selection tokens and protected-app information are processed on-device where possible. PausePath does not upload the names of the apps or websites you select for protection for advertising or tracking purposes. Any saved settings or activity related to protection, interventions, progress, or accountability features are used only to operate PausePath's core features.
How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Create and manage your account
- Authenticate you and keep your account secure
- Provide PausePath's core features
- Save your preferences and app settings
- Enable social features such as friends, groups, comments, and challenges
- Display your profile and user-generated content inside the app

Third-Party Services We Use
PausePath uses trusted third-party services to operate the app. These may include:
- Supabase: Used for authentication, account management, database storage, and backend services.
- RevenueCat: Used to manage subscriptions, purchase status, and Premium access.
- Sentry: Used for crash reporting, error tracking, and diagnostics.
- Apple App Store / StoreKit: Used for processing in-app purchases and subscriptions.
These services may process information as necessary to provide their services to PausePath. We do not use these services to sell your personal information or track you across apps and websites for advertising.
Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information only in limited circumstances:
- With service providers: We may share information with third-party providers that help us operate PausePath, such as authentication, database hosting, subscription management, crash reporting, and app infrastructure.

Tracking and Advertising
PausePath does not use your data for third-party advertising.

We retain your information for as long as needed to provide PausePath's services, maintain your account, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and protect app security.
If you delete your account or request deletion, we will delete or de-identify your personal information where required, unless we need to retain certain information for legal, security, fraud prevention, or legitimate business purposes.
